Accepts a range of vehicles, as well as bicycles and walk-ons.

Operates mid May – mid October each year.

Due to Covid19 it is operating at a reduced capacity of 200 persons per trip (Sep 2021), so please book well ahead of time.

Ferry Notes:
If the ferry shows as available but is not allowing a booking, please call the ferry and their employees may be able to assist you
Their system grays out trips which are near capacity, but bookings through the phone may still be available
Their phone line has long wait times

Swing Bridge

If the ferry is fully booked or closed, the alternative is to take the swing bridge through Little Current (at the top of Manitoulin Island).

The swing bridge will open for boats at the start of every hour (i.e. 6:00). If there are no boats the cars may continue unimpeded.

The bridge may need to swing between:
Summer: 6 am and 10 pm
October: 7 am – 7 pm

Approx time to the Campground via Swing Bridge from:
Vaughn – 5.5 Hours
Hamilton – 6.25 Hours
Guelph – 6.5 Hours (+10 minutes to choose backroads over Toronto)
Cambridge – 6.7 Hours

Swing Bridge Notes:
About half way through your trip there is a gas station that is 0.08-0.12 cents cheaper per liter. This is in Shawanaga (above Parry Sound).above Parry Sound). 
Little Current has 2 grocery stores. As well as an LCBO open until 6 (8 on Fridays).
