Dark Sky Camping

Our dark sky camping features truly untouched wilderness campsites that are situated in fields and meadows. Set inside our RASC Dark Sky Preserve, the best stargazing and aurora watching happens here!

This area is accessible by private road, only a five-minute drive from the main campground. Campers can travel by foot through our trails to access the amenities that are unique to the main campground area.

This quiet campground has access to our Fossil Lane and Jim Guy hiking trails, and  the Baden Powell grove. It’s a great area to hunt for fossils or spend some time birdwatching!

People planning to come to the Dark Sky Preserve to camp should be aware that we have a NO WHITE LIGHT rule on the preserve. Please visit the DSP page to learn about red lights!
