Host location of Stargazing Manitoulin and the Manitoulin Star Party, Gordon's Park is a designated RASC dark sky preserve and is the perfect site for astronomy and night sky viewing. The dark sky preserve offers exceptional dark skies, darkest in Ontario, 360 degree observing, horizon to horizon, no light pollution, a 7.5+ magnitude and a Sky Quality Meter reading of 21.96 (best is 23) Thursday nights in July and August are Astronomy Nights at Gordon's Park.

Rita Gordon is the original founding president of the Manitoulin Island Dark Sky Association (MIDSA) and is the organizations first honorary "Celestial" member."
Wilderness camping and cabin rentals are available in the dark sky preserve
on site.
